Tyler, Tx May, 6 (The Oklahoma Post) –
The new head football coach At Texas College is the #1 JJ Jackson.
Texas College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (www.sacscoc.org). Last year’s outcomes weren’t pretty, against the likes of Panhandle State (Ok), Langston, etc. Any new offensive production will be a major improvement, as last season Texas College finished 0-11.
“We are glad to have Mr. Jackson join us as our new Head Coach. We look forward to his leadership and moving the Steer Football program in a new direction.”
-Dr. Dwight Fennell, President of Texas College in a press release on May, 6
JJ Jackson is humble, strict, personable, God-fearing, a perfectionist, an occasional risk-taker, and most importantly to Texas College, Jackson is a proven winner. The former University of Oklahoma special teams star was most remembered for his punt return and receiving highlights during the first-ever Red River Rivalry overtime game in 1996. Jackson is expected to bring an air-it-out offense to test the defenses of his new conference. Texas College Athletics web page has made it official in this afternoon’s press release. Now they need players.
“Beyond Blessed for this opportunity. Have to give all glory to GOD… And thanks to everyone for the support over the process.. Time to air it out”, Coach Jackson recently shared with his Facebook followers.
A former Oklahoma standout who has been on the staff of excellent college and professional programs, including runs with Dartmouth, Washington State, Mississippi State, Oklahoma, University of Central Oklahoma, Texas Junior College, and the XFL….He knows football and has a lot of experience and connections to unload out of his suitcase at Texas College.
