Trial Coverage Day Three: The Murder Of John Mast

Lewiston, ID August 24, 2023 (The Oklahoma Post) –

Day three of the trial against James Brashear begins today. The video link is below. Today we are expected to see cross-examination of the Defense witnesses as well as rebuttal witnesses for the Prosecution. Closing arguments are near. Yesterday we heard the defendant admit to shooting Mr. Mast as well as strong indications he PLANNED to shoot his daughter’s ex-husband, the intended target. James Brashear admitted yesterday that he showed up to the custody drop-off location early, with a gun, angry, and before his daughter had even arrived at the location with the children. The murderer, James Brashear, admitted he had thoughts about killing Mr. Mast hundreds of times.

The case involves the murder of a father of two children as planned and intended by an ex father-in-law and John’s ex-wife. There had been false allegations and a scheme for child withholding from the father; the atrocity of parental alienation committed by a narcissistic and abusive mother. She had her constant frivolous motions denied by a court, so she worked with her father to kill John out of spite of the courts’ orders to share the children

The State of Idaho has taken up the prosecution of James R. Brashear for the family of homicide victim John A. Mast, his children, and his close friends. The murdered man’s father, along with Steven R. Mast, Michael W. Mast, and Betty R. Troyer, who are John Mast’s siblings, are seeking justice. The cowardly defendant is James R. Brashear, charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of John Mast. The predator and co-conspirator, Rebecca Brashear-Mast, is the mother and is expected to also face justice for her crimes.

Mr. John Mast, a 40-year-old North Dakota man, was expecting to pick up his children in the parking lot of the Lewiston Rosauers grocery store on a Friday evening but was violently murdered by his former father-in-law. Tragically, John A. Mast died a short time later at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center from multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim’s family had not been able to have relations with the children due to the mother and James Brashear withholding and alienating John Mast from his children. Parental alienation describes a process in which a child becomes estranged from their parents due to the psychological manipulation of the other parent or government agency. It’s a part of their arsenal of hate and revenge perhaps, to achieve their ends. No federal or state laws regulating parental alienation exist in the United States, but most believe the practice is child abuse.

Bryce Scrimsher, the County Sheriff, is associated with the domestic terror group, the “Constitutional Sheriff” Association. The association is a small group of law enforcement officers known for harassment, perjury in court proceedings, election denial, conspiracy, and obstruction of justice against the rights of the citizens which the “Constitutional Sheriffs” are elected to preserve. These facts make the investigation vulnerable to attack by both the prosecution and defense.
