The Los Angeles Dodgers have one of the deepest farm systems in professional baseball, and two names are generating serious buzz among scouts, fantasy players and collectors heading into the 2026 season: Zyhir Hope and James Tibbs III.
One is working his way through Double-A Tulsa. The other is knocking on the door at Triple-A Oklahoma City. Together, they represent a Dodger future that looks very bright and very Oklahoma.
Zyhir Hope: The Tool Shed Is Open
Hope, 21, has become one of the most closely watched outfield prospects in professional baseball. The left-handed center fielder out of Chesapeake, Virginia brings a tool set that scouts describe as rare, combining elite sprint speed that would rank in the top 10 in all of Major League Baseball per Statcast projections with raw power that produced a 470-foot home run at the Arizona Fall League.
Dodgers Nation has described Hope as possessing serious home run power, and the scouting community has taken notice. Hope went from unranked to one of the Dodgers’ top prospects quickly, drawing attention at every level of the system.
MLB Pipeline ranks Hope as the No. 27 overall prospect in baseball heading into 2026 and the No. 2 prospect in the Dodgers’ organization.
Hope posted a .264/.377/.428 slash line across 121 games at High-A Great Lakes in 2025, adding 13 home runs and 26 stolen bases before a September promotion to Double-A Tulsa, where he went 3-for-5 with four RBI in his debut. For 2026, he is projected to open the season with the Tulsa Drillers, the Dodgers’ Double-A affiliate, where he will continue developing against upper-level pitching. A strong first half could earn him a promotion to Oklahoma City.
James Tibbs III: The Polished Bat Heading to OKC
The San Francisco Giants selected Tibbs 13th overall in the 2024 MLB Draft, signing him for $4,747,500. After a nomadic 2025 season that sent him through multiple organizations, the former Florida State standout landed in the Dodgers’ system and has not looked back.
Tibbs is seeking his MLB debut heading into 2026 after a 2025 season that took him through several organizations. The left-handed hitter brings a disciplined, contact-oriented approach built on elite plate discipline. He posted a combined .373 on-base percentage and 20 home runs across three organizations in 2025, including a .900 OPS in 36 games with Tulsa after arriving in the Dodgers’ system.
Tibbs is projected to be in the Oklahoma City Comets lineup to open the 2026 season at Triple-A. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts has publicly put Tibbs on his radar as a prospect with a realistic shot at a big-league appearance in 2026.

A Piece of the Future, Right Now
