Why I’m Running

My campaign is rooted in an unwavering hope for the future. I believe this can only be achieved through accountability, transparency, and a desire to unite people regardless of a political party. I have one commitment: To serve people.

  • Restoring Trust in Government

Restoring trust in government through accountability and transparency while fighting to unite Americans instead of propping up party agendas no matter the cost. Our government has-for decades now- slowly eroded the trust we can place in it as an electorate. Party politicians and big money have only enticed our elected officials to continue driving division, not to seek solutions for the problems millions of Americans face. Until our leaders start leading from a place of accountability, transparency, and a desire to unite people regardless of political party, then that trust will never be regained

  • Reproductive Healthcare

One thing is clear: we should not have to fight for basic rights—for the freedom to choose what we decide to do with our bodies. We have to take action now and pass legislation that permanently protects a woman’s right to decide their own family planning. We must expand effective reproductive education, and invest in women’s health research. This is a pivotal moment in the history of our country and the path we continue down will shape the lives of millions of Americans for generations to come.

  • Addressing Rising Cost

From fertilizer to gas and grocery store shelves to electricity, people across the globe have had to instantly cope with demolished supply chains and rising prices. The consequences of inflation have forced small businesses, family farms, and large manufacturing plants to close doors, alter budgets, and lay off employees who have been there for years. Across the board, people feel at the mercy of events out of their control. Americans want someone who will roll up their sleeves every morning – exactly like they do – and deliver immediate solutions. Instead of politicizing a global issue, Madison will work with individuals and companies up and down the supply chain to ensure we thrive in a challenging economic environment.

  • Workforce Development & Employment

Giving people the tools they need to succeed in a 21st century market means advocating for workers, providing livable wages, forward-looking workforce development, and supporting our small businesses and farms. These are necessary steps if we are to continue innovating on the world stage. American entrepreneurs are ready to ignite the job-creating industries of aerospace, automated data systems, biotechnology and alternative energy. Achieving these lofty policy goals will require the leadership and expertise that Madison has developed throughout her professional career.

  • Access for Rural & Marginalized

Our rural and marginalized communities have endured shortages of basic services for decades. Rural communities in Oklahoma and across the country lack both medical coverage and adequate locations to receive treatment. Tackling this challenge requires expanding access to health and human services, promoting price lowering competition, and creating community health centers – among other solutions. Communities have had to grapple with numerous critical infrastructure challenges including a lack of broadband access, lack of water potability, crumbling roads, fragile electric grids and under-equipped classrooms. Our failure to address basic services and provide infrastructure must be remedied if we want our communities to grow.

  • Information Integrity

The destructive disinformation attacks being perpetrated against the democratic foundations of the United States are deeply concerning. Whether foreign or domestic, our nation’s adversaries have worked hard to take advantage of the digital age and the tools it provides. Attacks on our nation have cost millions of jobs, and billions of dollars lost by both taxpayers and companies. Not only are these attacks wrecking our economy, they are targeting and damaging critical infrastructure, while consistently undermining our democratic foundation as a country. For over a decade, Madison has fought to promote a more secure and inclusive future within the private sector. Now more than ever, the Senate needs a cybersecurity expert and someone who understands technology to spearhead legislation aimed at combating these divisive and harmful threats.
