Conservative gubernatorial candidate Charles McCall met with President Donald Trump’s Secretary of Education, Linda McMahon, to discuss bold solutions for Oklahoma’s education system on Tuesday.
“It was an honor to be invited by Governor Stitt to welcome President Trump’s Secretary of Education, Linda McMahon to Oklahoma,” said McCall. “Oklahomans are fed up with a broken system that puts bureaucrats ahead of parents, teachers, and students. With Secretary McMahon, we discussed the importance of education freedom, empowering parents, and rewarding great teachers. As Governor, I will work hand-in-hand with the Trump administration to protect conservative reforms and ensure Oklahoma leads, not lags, in education.”
As Speaker of the Oklahoma House, McCall delivered the largest teacher pay raise in state history, secured record funding for classrooms, instituted open transfer/enrollment, and passed universal school freedom through tax credits and charter school reforms benefiting every student, parent, teacher, and school in the state.
“As Speaker, we allocated resources, cut red tape, and advanced proven reforms from other conservative states. It’s time to take these solutions off the sidelines and drive them home – full force – for Oklahoma,” McCall said. “As Governor, I will hold the system accountable. We will protect local control, enforce education freedom, and make sure taxpayer dollars deliver better outcomes for our children.”
McCall’s meeting with Secretary McMahon highlights his alignment with President Trump’s agenda and his record of delivering conservative wins.
