Former Oklahoma House Speaker Charles McCall will host a Filing Day rally April 1 in Oklahoma City as he officially files his candidacy for governor, marking a formal milestone in a campaign he launched more than a year ago.

Join us for an all-American cookout and remarks from Charles McCall as he officially files his candidacy for Governor. Media availability will follow the speech.
McCall, a fifth-generation Oklahoman from Atoka and CEO of AmeriState Bank, served 12 years in the Oklahoma House of Representatives and holds the distinction of being the longest-serving Speaker in state history, leading the chamber for eight consecutive years before reaching term limits in 2024. He announced his gubernatorial bid in February 2025.
His platform centers on tax reduction, including eliminating Oklahoma’s personal income tax, executive branch reform and conservative governance, touting what his campaign describes as the largest tax cut in state history passed under his tenure as speaker.
McCall enters the filing period in a competitive Republican primary that includes Attorney General Gentner Drummond, former state Sen. Mike Mazzei, Chip Keating and former state Sen. Jake Merrick. Gov. Kevin Stitt is term-limited and cannot seek re-election. The Republican primary is June 16.
