A camera in the room, for once.

County commissions, city councils, school boards and the occasional interview with somebody who would rather not sit for one. Public meetings are public. We point a camera at them and leave it running.

Free to watch. No account, no wall, no sign-up.

What we broadcast

Starting January 2027. Five things, in rough order of how often they happen.

Public meetingsCommission meetings, council sessions, school boards and zoning hearings. Unedited and start to finish, because the interesting part is usually not the part anyone summarized.
The weeklyWhat we filed, what the documents said and what we are still waiting on the state to hand over. Same time every week.
InterviewsCandidates, officials, attorneys and people whose cases we have covered. Long form, minimal editing.
Election nightsReturns as they come in, with the county-level numbers nobody else stays up for.
ReplaysEverything stays up. A meeting recording is a record, and records do not expire after a week.

Where to watch

Same broadcast, three places. Whichever you already have open.

Right here

The player at the top of this page carries every broadcast live and holds the replay afterward. Nothing to install and no account.

Facebook

Simulcast to our page as it happens, which is where most people find us and where the arguing usually is.

YouTube

Also simulcast on our channel, which is the easiest place to catch up later, watch on a television, or scrub to the part you actually needed.

Tell us which room to sit in

There are 77 counties and one of us. Most weeks the deciding factor in what gets covered is whether somebody told us it was happening.

If your county commission is voting on something, if a board is meeting about a closure, if a hearing is calendared that people should see, send it. Include the date, the time, the address and the agenda if there is one. A couple of weeks of notice helps. Drive time is real.

Sponsoring a broadcast

Presenting sponsors are named on air, on screen and on the replay, which keeps working long after the meeting adjourned. There are a limited number of broadcasts in a season.

Sponsorship buys placement. It does not buy coverage, advance notice of a story, or any say in what the camera points at. That is not a policy we are proud of, it is just the arrangement.

Know when we go live

Broadcasts are announced in the weekly newsletter and on Facebook when we are setting up. Neither costs anything.

Live broadcasts are free and public. Anything sponsored is identified on air.
